Cesc Fabregas has overtaken Chelsealegend Frank Lampard in the Premier League’s all-time assists table.
The Spaniard, who has represented both Arsenal and Chelsea in England’s top flight, made his 103rd goal in his side’s win over Southampton on Tuesday night.
Fabregas provided the cross for Diego Costa’s header in the 4-2 victory, as the Blues extended their lead over Tottenham at the top of the table.
The assist means the former Barcelona midfielder has now made one more Premier League goal than Lampard.
He is currently second in the all-time assists table, ahead of the likes of Wayne Rooney (101), Dennis Bergkamp (94) and Steven Gerrard (92).
The only player above him is former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs, who retired from the game in 2014.
But the Spaniard has some way to go if he is to ever catch the Welshman, after he made a staggering 162 assists for the Red Devils.
